Planting trees for the land – Celebrating 120 years of Rotary International

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, our club president Benyapa Wonnadechtadakul joined the Rotary Club of Nakhon Nayok in the project “Planting Trees for the Land – In Celebration of 120 Years of Rotary International.” The event was held together with the Rotary Presidents of Class 120, with part of the proceeds donated to provide scholarships for blind students with multiple disabilities and for young mothers in the local community. The activity took place at the Royal Military Academy, Nakhon Nayok Province.

For this special occasion, we planted the Ratchaphruek (Golden Shower Tree), Thailand’s national tree. In honor of His Majesty King Rama X’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary this year, a total of 1,072 trees were planted and handed over to the academy.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and fellowship as Rotarians came together to plant trees and even launch seed balls with slingshots into the nearby forest area. These trees will help expand green spaces, increase oxygen, and play a small yet meaningful role in reducing global warming for our world.
