Rotary empowers Lom Sak Hospital with fundus camera for enhanced eye care

Rotary Club of Bangkok Vibhavadi, alongside the benevolent efforts of the Rotary Club of Silom, Rotary Club of Dhonburi West, The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, and the significant contribution from the Rotary Club of Daegu Eagle in South Korea, collectively marked a heartwarming milestone at Lom Sak Hospital in Phetchabun. A state-of-the-art fundus camera, valued at 1,224,000 Baht (34,000 USD), was ceremoniously handed over in a gesture that promises to elevate the standard of eye care services in the Northern Phetchabun region.
The fundus camera, generously donated by the collaborative effort of these Rotary clubs, is set to make a positive change in healthcare beyond Lom Sak Hospital's walls. With the outreach program that will facilitate patients' diagnosis within neighboring medical facilities, ensuring that elderly patients can get a properly eye screening test in time.
This visionary extension of support underscores the commitment of these Rotary Clubs not only to Lom Sak Hospital but also to the broader community welfare. By fostering collaboration, the Rotary Clubs aim to create a sustainable impact on eye health, reaching far beyond the initial donation.
The Rotary handover ceremony was attended by representatives from Rotary clubs, hospital staffs, social security officers, Lom Sak Hospital’s foundation members, and community leaders, creating a sense of unity and shared commitment to advancing healthcare standards. As the fundus camera takes its place within Lom Sak Hospital, it is poised to inspire further collaboration between Rotary Clubs globally, showcasing the potential for collective action to address healthcare challenges on both local and regional levels.
